Crochet graph size calculator

Enter your measured gauge and the size you want. The calculator gives the chart size in stitches and rows, or the finished size of a chart you already have. This is for flat, back-and-forth single-crochet colorwork.

Calculations use your two gauge numbers and simple division. Tension, yarn and finishing change real dimensions, so make a swatch and a small colorwork test before a big project. The free graph maker accepts 8 to 80 stitches wide and up to 100 rows.

How it works

stitches = width in inches / 4 x stitches per 4 in
rows = height in inches / 4 x rows per 4 in

Example: at 16 stitches and 20 rows per 4 inches, a 6 x 6 inch piece is 24 stitches by 30 rows. See the gauge guide for why a square picture needs more rows than stitches.
